Installation for Ground Improvement Applications
Layfield installs prefabricated vertical drains (wick drain) for soil consolidation. We also provide site assistance and/or installation for geosynthetics such as regular and high strength geotextiles, geogrids, geoweb, and many other types of geosynthetics.
Featured installed products include our prefabricated vertical drains (wick drains). These wick drains are pressed into soft soil using a special rig. The wick drains allow the soil to drain as embankments are built on top. Layfield is also skilled in the field sewing of high strength geotextiles for applications such as sludge pond closures and reinforcement of soft soils. Any Layfield product can be purchased installed. Contact your local office for more information.
